ABOUT

MEET ANDREA

When you say “yes” to partnering with me, your journey of self-discovery, personal growth, and intentional change starts. You will connect with your whole self, your true essence, and live your life purpose, not just name it.

My style of coaching is collaborative and personalized, not prescriptive. I am not a fixer. I will show up with curiosity, generosity, and listen with my heart and mind. I will be the one who asks those unexpected questions that allow you to get clear on who you are and what you want to do.

I want to get it right, not be right.

This is probably why I love to learn.

I am intentional with what I choose to learn and have a bulletin board full of certificates to show for it ( Brené Brown’s The Daring Way™, Shirzad Chamine’s Positive Intelligence™, Mindful Self-Compassion, Motivational Interviewing™). I integrate this learning into my individual coaching and also offer workshops on The Daring Way™, Mindful Self-Compassion, and Courageous Conversations.

In my postgraduate school years, I was a Nutrition Therapist (MS,RD) in Boston and specialized in working with adolescents and adults with Eating Disorders. For more than two decades I was immersed in client care, developing prevention and awareness programs for communities, and serving as a volunteer or Board member to Eating Disorders non-profits.

I’ve led spiritual groups, High School girls groups, moms groups (from new moms to moms dealing with parents with dementia), and church youth groups in New Zealand and Switzerland, to name a few.

Being with people as they struggle, grow and heal has been the most fulfilling part of being a professional.

My coaching foundation and heartfelt takeaway from the 1000 plus hours partnering with clients:

“Nothing ever goes away until it has taught us what we need to know”  Pema Chödrön

And, some of my Essence ~I’m a daughter, sister, long-term spouse to a hometown guy, and mom to 2 adult kids who continue to make my life meaningful as they make meaning of their own. I’m a trusted friend with friends I trust, a hand-raising volunteer for any group that supports families and have been a caregiver to many cherished  4-legged friends. I’m a world traveler, a former Permanent Resident on two other continents, with the US always being my home. I feel alive and at peace when in nature, looking up, with solitude, with God, listening to music, reading poetry, making discoveries, asking and listening, and truly connecting with others, especially my family.
I have worked hard to be present, let go of control and live a life with greater acceptance of myself and others. My reward ~ the unknown is now my friend. With peace and gratitude,
– Andrea
